Gautam Gambhir

Gautam Gambhir (born October 14, 1981) is a former Indian opener and the current head coach of the Indian men's cricket team, a position he assumed in July 2024 after Rahul Dravid's retirement. As a player, he was India's ultimate clutch batter, scoring vital knocks of 75 and 97 in the finals of the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup, respectively. He amassed over 10,000 international runs and led the Kolkata Knight Riders to IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. Gambhir began his coaching journey as a mentor for KKR, guiding them to a third title in 2024. As India's head coach, he orchestrated a glorious T20 World Cup victory in 2026, leading the team to a second consecutive title.
