Tushar Deshpande, an Indian right-arm fast bowler, first gained recognition with 21 wickets in the 2015-16 Cooch Behar Trophy, quickly earning his Mumbai first-class debut. His white-ball consistency, including a Vijay Hazare Trophy five-wicket haul, led to an IPL contract with Delhi Capitals in 2020. His career breakthrough came after joining Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2022. In the 2023 IPL, he made history as the league's first-ever Impact Player and was CSK's highest wicket-taker with 21 scalps, crucial to their title win. This form earned him his India debut against Zimbabwe in July 2024. Ahead of the 2025 season, he was signed by Rajasthan Royals (RR), where he is now a key squad member.
