Dasun Shanaka

Dasun Shanaka is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer known as a batting all-rounder and a former captain of the Sri Lanka national team in limited-overs formats. He is widely recognized for his aggressive lower-order batting and medium-fast bowling. He was acquired by the Dhaka Capitals for the 2026 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) season as the highest-priced overseas player (USD 55,000) in the Category A auction. 

In February 2026, Dasun Shanaka was named as the official replacement for Sam Curran and signed for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026 for INR 2 Crore.
