The group stage of the third season of the women's Premier League is completed with the match between defending Champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians. The season witnessed some exciting bowling performances from multiple bowlers. In the WPL 2025 multiple bowles led the top wicket-takers race, and the leaderboard changed after every match. Currently, the leaderboard is dominated by the bowlers from Mumbai Indians and RCB. Mumbai Indians' Amelia Kerr and Hayley Matthews hold the first and second positions while RCB's Georgia Wareham is at third position.

Amelia Kerr

The 24-year-old all-rounder from New Zealand has contributed immensely with both bat and ball for the Mumbai Indians, especially with her bowling. In the eight matches played the season, Amelia, with an impressive economy of 8.06, took 14 wickets and is currently highest wicket taken of the tournament leading in the purple cap race.

Hayley Matthews

Hayley Matthews, with her bowling, shocked multiple batting lineups in the season. In the eight matches played, she has already taken 14 wickets so far and is currently just behind her teammate Amelia Kaur in the purple cap race.With the upcoming playoffs matches, her wickets tally is expected to go even higher.

Georgia Wareham

Royal Challengers Bengaluru's bowler Georgia Wareham performed well for the team this season, taking 12 wickets in eight matches. She is currently the third-highest wicket-taker of the season. However, Wareham will not be advancing in the race, as RCB is already out of the playoffs and played their last match against Mumbai.
