The third season of the Women's Premier League began on 14 February with a match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Giants, where RCB defeated Gujarat in a historic chase. In this article, we will discuss another favourite for the third season of the Women's Premier League: the Mumbai Indians, the inaugural champions of the WPL and one of the most favourite franchises in WPL 2025 to win the title. 

 

In its first match against the Delhi Capitals, the Mumbai Indians were all out for just 164 runs in 19.1 overs. In an attempt to defend this small total, the Mumbai Indians put up a strong fight against the Delhi Capitals. However, in the end, the Delhi Capitals won the nail-biting match on the last ball. While MI's batting was far from ideal, only two batters performed from the side: Nat Sciver-Burnt, who had 80 runs, and Harmanpreet Kaur, who had 40 runs.

 

 

Mumbai Indians Schedule for This Season

In the third season of the women's Premier League, Mumbai Indians will play eight games in a round-robin format, two games against each team. After losing the first game against Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians' next game is against Gujarat Joints on 18 February.
