Will Shubman Gill Play vs Pakistan? Latest Injury Update Before Asia Cup 2025 Clash India’s vice-captain Shubman Gill gave fans a bit of a scare after picking up an injury just before the big ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 match against Pakistan, as reported by TOI on Saturday. Gill, who scored an unbeaten 20 runs in India’s first game against the UAE on Tuesday, hurt his hand during practice while preparing for the much-awaited clash.

The report also mentioned that the right-handed batter looked uncomfortable and walked off the field after the physio checked on him. After the incident, India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav and head coach Gautam Gambhir were spotted talking to Gill, who was with his opening partner Abhishek Sharma.

The report, however, said that after a short break, Gill came back and continued his practice. For those who don’t know, the high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

This match marks the 14th T20I between India and Pakistan, a rivalry that India has largely dominated with 10 victories out of 13. The two sides last met in the 2024 T20 World Cup in New York, where Rohit Sharma’s side clinched a narrow win over Babar Azam’s men in a low-scoring battle.
