Will injured Zaman Khan miss PSL for Pindiz?
Pacer Zaman Khan is in doubt to play for the debutant side Pindiz in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) after he injured himself during a National T20 Cup game. During his team, Faisalabad’s game against Peshawar at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, Zaman dislocated his shoulder while fielding in the deep.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in a statement, confirmed that the pacer dislocated the Acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) of his right shoulder. The injury rules him out of the domestic competition, and he will report to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore to start his rehabilitation.
PCB confirmed the injury through a statement
"Fast bowler Zaman Khan sustained a dislocation of the Acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) on his right shoulder while fielding during the Faisalabad v Peshawar fixture in the ongoing National T20 Cup in Peshawar," the PCB said in a brief statement.
"He will report to the National Cricket Academy, Lahore, on 14 March and in consultation with the PCB Medical team, the further course of action regarding his recovery and rehabilitation programme will be charted."
Pindiz retained the bowler in the gold category ahead of the auction for PKR 11.2 million. The debutant franchise, sold to Walee Technologies for PKR 2.45 billion, will play their first PSL game on March 28 against Peshawar Zalmi.
