Sunrisers Hyderabad regained their winning ways in IPL 2026. They defeated Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs and secured their second victory in the tournament. Rajasthan Royals experienced defeat in their first game after winning five consecutive matches. While chasing 217, they suffered a horrible start to the innings.

The debutant bowler Praful Hinge made an outstanding opening spell and dismissed three batters. He dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel, and Lhuan-dre Pretorius on a ducks, creating problems for RR at the very beginning of the innings.

After that, another debutant Sakib Hussain sent back Yashasvi Jaiswal one run, Hinge was on a roll as he picked up his fourth by dismissing Riyan Parag 4 runs. The Royals were reduced to 9/5 in the third over.

Kishan got a wonderful support from Heinrich Klaasen as both put 88 between them. Pocket-Dynamo Kishan hit eight fours and six maximums to score 91 off 44 before getting dismissed in the 14th over. Klaasen looked good for his 26-ball 40 before he fell with the death overs approaching.

Cameos from Nitish Kumar Reddy (28 off 13) and Salil Arora (24* off 13) powered SRH to 216/6 at the end of their innings. For RR, Jofra Archer (2/37), Sandeep Sharma (1/52), Tushar Deshpande (1/55) and skipper Riyan Parag (1/5) were the wicket-takers.

The talking point in the first innings was Ravindra Jadeja not bowling a single over for the visitors. But the talking point tonight will always be about the dream debuts of Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain who lit up Hyderabad with some sensational bowling, guiding the Orange Army to victory.
