[ Poll: pyPEbjLB ]

Royal Challengers Bengaluru won again at home, beating Lucknow Super Giants by 5 wickets with 29 balls left. It was their first home win against LSG on a difficult pitch. RCB won the toss and elected to bowl first on a grassless surface. The pacers rose to the occasion tonight with Rasikh Salam (4/24), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3/27) and Josh Hazlewood (1/20) bowling terrific spells.

Krunal Pandya picked up 2/38 in his 4 overs with Suyash Sharma remaining wicketless. Mitchell Marsh top scored with 40, Mukul Choudhary (39) and Ayush Badoni (38) were handy with the bat as well. LSG failed to form partnerships and rolled out for 146 in 20 overs. There were more concerns for LSG as skipper Rishabh Pant was hit on the elbow by a Josh Hazlewood delivery and had to retire hurt before coming back and getting out for just 1. Pant didn't take the field as well in the second innings.

RCB Beat LSG by 5 Wickets for First Home Win Against Them

Prince Yadav - LSG's leading wicket taker this season removed the in-form Phil Salt early with just 7 to his name. Virat Kohli coming in as an impact player displayed fantastic form and slapped 6 fours and a maximum in his 34-ball 49. Avesh Khan dismissed Devdutt Padikkal (10 off 11) and then Kohli. DDP and Kohli added 57 runs for the 2nd wicket with the latter doing the bulk of scoring. Rajat Patidar arrived with the same intentions as he did against MI hammering 27 off just 13 balls with 3 sixes.

It was Prince Yadav who got Patidar and Jitesh Sharma in the space of 3 balls to bring the score down to 122/5. Jitesh also displayed good form smoking 23 in 9 balls with 2 fours and as many sixes. Tim David and Romario Shepherd then proceeded to take RCB to the target with identical unbeaten 14 off 8 deliveries hitting one four and a six each. Avesh Khan (2/23) was the pick of the bowlers with Prince Yadav claiming 3/32 in his 3 overs.

Mohammed Shami was expensive and wicketless conceding 30 in 3 overs. Digvesh Rathi (0/51 in 4) also had an off day with the winning runs scored off the first ball of George Linde's second over.
