There is some positive news for the Mumbai Indians, who are having a tough time in the competition. According to Cricbuzz, experienced player Rohit Sharma could make a comeback in their next game, which will be played against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 29.

The 38-year-old player was injured in a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 12. He has since missed three consecutive matches against PBKS, GT, and CSK. Reports said that there is hope of his return from the injury.

However, the batting of his team has been poor without him. In the last few games, the Mumbai team has taken the opening batsman, Danish Malewar. Yet, he has managed to score only 2 runs in two matches. This has come as a shock to many, as he has no prior experience in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

The start of Rohit Sharma was good as he scored 137 runs in just 4 games. Moreover, he even secured the Orange Cap at the start of the tournament. In fact, a couple of days ago, the Mumbai Indians team lost against the Gujarat Titans by 103 runs. After seven matches, they have won only two games. Thus, their chance of qualifying for IPL 2026 is now tough.
