RCB Release List 2026: Yash Dayal’s Future in Trouble, One Overseas Star Set to Leave

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are considering releasing one of their players from last season due to some issues off-the-field. The BCCI has instructed all the IPL teams to send in their list of retained players by November 15.
The IPL 2026 mini auction is expected to take place between 13 and 15 December in India. All the teams will also need to make a decision about which players they want to retain or release. RCB are now faced with a very tough decision regarding left-arm fast bowler Yash Dayal, who is in the news for serious allegations.
Dayal, the young fast bowler from Uttar Pradesh was an integral part of of RCB’s bowling attack. Sadly, he is now the subject of two investigations regarding allegations of sexual harassment and sexual exploitation. He was one of three players that RCB retained from last season, and it seems unlikely that RCB will continue with him for the future.
Dayal is said to be facing two separate allegations one in Jaipur in Rajasthan, and the second case in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. RCB's management is understandably concerned about the situation, and what type of image this could reflect on the team. As a result, RCB may want to release Dayal before the IPL 2026 mini Auction to avoid any further implications.
RCB may also shake up their foreign players as well known player Liam Livingstone from England is said to be returning home as a result of not making an significant impact with the bat and ball.
