PSL 2026: Most runs and most wickets after Zalmi win the Qualifier in Karachi

PSL 2026: Most runs and most wickets after Zalmi win the Qualifier in KarachiPeshawar Zalmi batters Babar Azam and Kusal Mendis are the only players realistically in contention for the Hanif Mohammad Cap this year. With his brilliant century against Islamabad United in the Qualifier at National Stadium Karachi, Babar went past Mendis to top the run-scoring charts. He now has 588 runs at an average of 84 and a strike rate of 146.26.

Besides these two, the next on the list is Fakhar Zaman with 401 runs, but with Lahore Qalandars already out of the league, he is out of contention for the cap as well. Multan batters Steve Smith and Sahibzada Farhan have 367 and 365 runs respectively, but with a maximum of only two games left this season, overtaking the Zalmi batters would be a steep ask.

In the wickets tally, Peshawar Zalmi also have a leading contender for the Fazal Mahmood Cap. Sufiyan Muqeem, who picked up two wickets against Islamabad last night, sits at the top with 21 scalps. He is followed by Islamabad United’s Shadab Khan, who has 17 wickets and could play up to two more games if his side progresses.
