Women’s T20 World Cup: Updated Points Table after India thump Pakistan

Pakistan Women found a rather unimpressive way to begin their Women's T20 World Cup campaign as they succumbed to the brilliant Indian bowling. Where once they looked set to give a stern challenge to India, Pakistan ended the game 64 runs short of the target. This puts them in the second-last place on the Group 1 points table.

Earlier, at the same venue, Bangladesh bested the Netherlands by six wickets while chasing a low 140-run target. The Dutch could not even reach par score, as barring skipper Babette de Leede, none of the other batters even crossed 20 runs.

The win puts Bangladesh in third place, with Australia and India the other two teams to begin their campaign with a win.
