Surprise, surprise, surprise! Peshawar Zalmi are still a part of the PSL. Yes, they last played a game eight days ago. Yes, they have only had two scheduled games so far in the tournament, while others have completed nearly half of their group stages. Yes, that is a huge scheduling blunder, which is worsened by the fact that their previous outing was a washout. But they are back and will be playing two matches on the bounce in as many days.

Playing, or watching rain wreck, their last game on March 31, Zalmi were in second place. Now, they have slipped to fifth because of all the action going on around them. A win against Hyderabad Kingsmen could take them to fourth or, with a better Net Run Rate (NRR), to third spot.

They would be glad to face Hyderabad, who have yet to win a game this season after three matches, on their return. The debutant side not only has three defeats, but their NRR of -2.077 puts them below Rawalpindiz, who have one more defeat.
