PCB confirms schedule for Australia’s T20I tour of Pakistan
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the schedule for the three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Australia. This tour will be the last bilateral competition for both sides before they head to the 2026 T20 World Cup, which begins on February 7 in India and Sri Lanka.
Pakistan-Australia T20I series schedule
The three matches will be played on January 29, January 31, and February 1 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, with the visitors expected to land in Pakistan a day before the first game.
PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed Syed expressed his excitement about hosting the Australian side in the lead-up to the World Cup.
“We are excited and look forward to hosting Australia for the three-match T20I series here in Lahore. The tour marks a blockbuster beginning of the year for Pakistan Cricket fans, and I urge them to turn out in numbers during the series to support both teams as they put the final touches to their T20 World Cup preparations," Sumair Ahmed said.
“I’m sure the Gaddafi Stadium has become a familiar sight for the Australian Cricket team as they have played a Test, five ODIs and a T20I here since March 2022,” he added.
Fine-tuning the preparations
Although Pakistan (Group A) and Australia (Group B) are part of different groups in the T20 World Cup, the series will be a valuable opportunity to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the mega event.
1st T20I - Thursday, January 29
2nd T20I - Saturday, January 31
3rd T20I - Sunday, February 1
(All games to begin at 6 PM PKT)
