Jasprit Bumrah Makes Surprise Net Session During Vijay Hazare Trophy Match

[ Poll: QLj274LR ]

Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah made a surprise visit to the Gujarat College Ground during the Vijay Hazare Trophy match between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Bumrah bowled at the nets and left quietly. There were no screaming fans or autograph hunters, and Bumrah had a short but quality stint under the watchful eyes of former Gujarat Ranji coach, Hitesh Majumdar.

Bumrah has a short and quiet practice session

After warming up, the bowler first bowled a few balls from just two steps. He then slowly increased his run-up. By the end, he was bowling with a full run-up, not at full pace, but still enough to trouble the batter.“Ride the bounce,” he told Gujarat Ranji batter Sunpreet Bagga after beating him.

Bumrah bowled a few more balls that bounced sharply off the pitch, and after half an hour, the session ended.

“He wasn’t bowling at full pace – around 130‑135 kmph. I faced two overs from him,” said a happy Bagga, and rightly so, as you don’t get to face Bumrah every day.
