IPL 2026 Dates Announced: March 26 to May 31, RCB Opener at Chinnaswamy Stadium Pending Clearance

The dates for IPL 2026 are out. According to Cricbuzz, the tournament will start on March 26 and end on May 31. This was decided after a meeting of IPL team owners in Abu Dhabi, a day before the IPL 2026 auction.
But it remains to be seen, whether the current champions RCB will be able to host match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The report said that IPL 2026 dates were announced by league CEO Hemang Amin.
As for the first match, Chinnaswamy Stadium (KSCA) has approval from the state government, but it still needs final safety and security clearance. Even though it doesn’t really affect IPL’s popularity, the dates will overlap with the next Pakistan Super League. That tournament will also start on March 26 but will finish earlier, by May 3.
The same was revealed by PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who along with current Pakistan cricketers, Shan Masood, Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, Saud Shakeel, Faheem Ashraf, and Abrar Ahmed, held a roadshow in New York.
