IPL 2026: 3 SRH Players Who Could Be Traded Before the IPL Auction

With the IPL 2026 mini-auction coming soon, teams have started planning for trades. During this time, franchises can exchange or buy players before the main auction. This helps them strengthen weak areas or release players who didn’t perform well. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who had very different seasons, are now looking at possible trades to improve their team for next year.
Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan was one of the biggest buys for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2025 mega auction, joining the team for ₹11.25 crore. He began his SRH journey in style, hitting an unbeaten 106 off 47 balls against Rajasthan Royals in his first match.
But after that, he struggled to score runs for a while. In the second-last game of the season, he bounced back with a brilliant 94* off 48 balls against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The southpaw finished with 354 runs from 14 matches, a disappointing campaign barring the two phenomenal knocks. It seems highly unlikely that the 27-year-old will be retained by the franchise.
Rahul Chahar
Rahul Chahar played just one game last season after being bought by the Hyderabad team for ₹3.20 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Instead of him, SRH trusted young leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari, who went on to play 10 matches during the season. Ansari only picked up six wickets in 10 games, but SRH persisted with him instead of going back to Chahar, who has the experience of playing for India. Harsh Dubey is another spinner who impressed during the tournament with his left-arm orthodox spin. So, it seems almost certain that Chahar will be released ahead of the mini auction.
Mohammed Shami
Mohammed Shami couldn’t find his rhythm during the season. SRH bought him for ₹10 crore, but he played only nine matches, taking six wickets. His bowling average was 56.17, and he gave away runs at an economy rate of 11.23.
Shami recorded the then-worst figures in IPL against the Punjab Kings in an IPL 2025 encounter. He finished with a woeful spell of 0/75 in four overs. The Bengal pacer has lost his spot in the Indian team since the IPL, and he could be sent into the auction by SRH.
