Punjab Kings (PBKS) picked up a big win over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 18, giving their points table standing a nice boost. In a rain-hit game, RCB just couldn’t get going with the bat and ended up posting only 95 for 9 in their 14 overs. That total was never going to be enough, and PBKS chased it down with five wickets in hand and nearly two overs to spare. The loss sees RCB slip down the table, while PBKS walk away with a much-needed jump in the standings.
Following their five-wicket win over RCB, Punjab Kings (PBKS) have jumped up to second place on the IPL 2025 points table. The victory helped them climb two spots in the standings. On the flip side, both RCB and Gujarat Titans (GT) have slipped down a position each as a result of this outcome.
With their recent win, PBKS have now hit the 10-point mark in the IPL 2025 points table after playing seven matches. RCB, on the other hand, stay on eight points from the same number of games. The points table is starting to shift quite a bit Gujarat Titans have slipped to third, even though they’ve also got eight points but from just six matches. Interestingly, PBKS and RCB won’t have to wait long for a rematch they’re set to face off again on April 20 at the Mullanpur Stadium.
