IPL 2025 Points Table: Team Rankings After MI vs GT Match Gujarat Titans pulled off a thrilling three-wicket win over Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede on May 7. In a nail‑biter right down to the last ball, GT stayed calm under pressure, snatched victory from MI, and gave their playoff push a big boost. Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to bowl first. Mumbai Indians never really got going apart from Will Jacks’ fighting fifty, they could only manage 155 for 8 in their 20 overs.

Gujarat Titans chased down a revised target of 156 runs with nerves of steel, even after losing Sai Sudharsan for just 5 and dealing with two rain interruptions. They needed 15 runs off the last over under the DLS method and got it, sealing a tight win over Mumbai Indians.

That victory bumped GT from fourth to the top spot on the points table with 16 points from 11 games. Mumbai Indians, despite their efforts, dropped to fourth with 14 points from 12 matches. MI take on Punjab Kings in Dharamsala on May 11, while Gujarat Titans will face Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium that same day.
