Punjab Kings, which played exceptionally well in the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League, have now reached the finals after a rollercoaster ride. After losing Qualifier 1, the team reached qualifier 2 to face the Mumbai Indians and reached the finals. Punjab Kings played exceptionally well in the IPL 2025 and won matches throughout the season. They revamped their entire squad by bringing in key match-winners. The team also acquired Shreyas Iyer at a whopping price of 26.75 crore. In the fourteen matches played this season, Punjab Kings won nine matches and finished the season in first position with nineteen points. Top Order

 For the top order, Punjab Kings will have two young Indian openers: Prabhsimran Singh, who performed well for Punjab this season, and Priyansh Arya, who showcased exceptional batting this season. For the third position, the team will have captain Shreyas Iyer, who is also in red-hot form and is the team’s highest run scorer this season, in the last match against Mumbai Indians we scored the unbeaten match winning half century and became the Player of the match for his performance.

Middle Order

 In the middle order, Punjab will feature Nehal Wadheera, Josh Inglis, and Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis. Inglis has also played well for the team in some matches, while Stoinis is working to regain his form and was on the till the Punjab Kings won the last match. In the lower middle order, the team will have Shasank Singh, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Kyle Jamieson.

Bowlers

Punjab's bowling attack will be led by two overseas fast bowlers, Azmatullah Omarzai and New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson, in the pace department, along with the star Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh who is the team's highest run scorer this season. In the spin department, the team will have Yuzvendra Chahal who has recoverd from his injury and will be having Harpreet Brar alongside,who will bowl crucial middle overs.
