India vs New Zealand: Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav Power India to Easy 7-Wicket Win

India made chasing 200+ runs look easy in Raipur, winning the match with 28 balls left. They lost both openers early in the powerplay, but Ishan Kishan turned the game around with a strong half-century. Suryakumar Yadav found his rhythm, bringing up a half-century for the first time in 23 innings in the shortest format, as India won by seven wickets to go 2–0 up in the five-match series.

Earlier in the game, Suryakumar won the toss and opted to bowl first. Both the openers got starts but failed to convert it into a big total. Rachin Ravindra starred with a knock of 44 off 26. However, it was Mitch Santner's unbeaten knock of 47 off 27 that took the visitors past the 200-run mark. Zak Foulkes swung his bat, remaining not out on 15 off 8. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2 for 35. Hardik Pandya, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakaravarthy and Shivam Dube got one apiece.

India Cruise to Easy Seven-Wicket Win, Take 2–0 Series Lead

The target for India was 209 and despite the dew, it looked tough. The start for India was shaky as Sanju Samson fell for six and Abhishek Sharma bagged a golden duck. Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav added 122 off 48 balls for the third wicket. Kishan was looking set for a century when he miscued one off Ish Sodhi and perished for 76. 

Shivam Dube was promoted up the order and he scored his 36 runs at a strike-rate of 200. He added 81 runs for the fourth wicket with Suryakumar Yadav to take India home without breaking a sweat. Zak Foulkes had an evening to forget as he conceded 67 runs in his 3 overs. Ish Sodhi, Jacob Duffy and Matt Henry picked up one wicket apiece but it was not enough to stop India's juggernaut.
