India A Women Clinch Series With Thrilling Two-Wicket Win Over Australia

India A Women pulled off a thrilling two-wicket victory over Australia A Women in the second One-Day match at Ian Healy Oval, Brisbane, to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. The win was extra special for Radha Yadav’s team, who bounced back strongly after being whitewashed 3-0 in the earlier T20 series.
Bhatia, Radha, and Kanwer Shine in the Chase
Chasing 266, India A had a shaky start, losing Shafali Verma and Dhara Gujjar early to slip to 20 for two. But Yastika Bhatia anchored the innings with a fluent 66 off 71 balls, playing crisp strokes to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Bhatia found a reliable partner in captain Radha Yadav (60 off 78), as the pair added a crucial 68-run stand to steady the chase. Once Bhatia fell, India A wobbled again, but Tanuja Kanwer played a composed knock of 50 off 57 balls in the lower order to keep the team in the game.
In the final over, Rawat hit a boundary to level the scores and then sealed the win by taking a single.
Earlier, Australia A captain Alyssa Healy led from the front with a superb 91 off 91 balls, smashing eight fours and three sixes. She got support from Kim Garth (41*) and Ella Hayward (28), guiding the hosts to 265 for nine.
India A’s bowlers responded well under pressure. Minnu Mani plays a key role by taking 3/46 from 10 overs. Tanuja Kanwer and Radha Yadav chipped in with important wickets, while Saima Thakor’s miserly spell of 2/30 slowed Australia A’s scoring in the middle overs.
