IND vs SA Day 4 Highlights: Stubbs’ 94, Jadeja’s 4/62 Shine in Action-Packed Session

South Africa are fully in control of the match and the series. India have been pushed back to 27/2 while chasing a huge target of 549. Earlier, South Africa ended Day 3 at 26/0, with Ryan Rickelton and Aiden Markram set to continue their innings. In the morning session, India managed to take three wickets, thanks to some tight bowling from Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, who worked well together.
Tristan Stubbs (94) then joined an alliance with Tony de Zorzi (49) adding 101 runs for the 4th wicket. de Zorzi missed out on a fifty by just one run having trapped in front by Jadeja who was the pick of the bowlers claiming 4/62.
Stubbs added 82 more runs for the 5th wicket with Wiaan Mulder (35*) but missed out on a well deserved ton trying an expansive stroke against Jadeja. South Africa declared their innings at 260/5 setting a record chase for the Indians.
South Africa Close In on Victory as India Struggle in Mammoth Chase
Yashasvi Jaiswal started batting in his flashy way and hit a six and a four in his 19-ball innings which yielded 13 runs. He was caught behind trying to cut a delivery which wasn't far away from his body.
South Africa's hero with the ball in this series Simon Harmer then struck in the first over going through KL Rahul's gate to hit the timber. Rahul could add only 6 runs and faced 30 deliveries. Sai Sudharsan and nightwatchman Kuldeep Yadav then saw through Harmer and left arm spinner Keshav Maharaj.
SA also used a review against Sudharsan for leg before with the ball grazing his knee roll before it hit the bat but the on-field call was not out and the impact very close to the off stump which resulted in umpire's call on ball tracking.
Bad light meant a little over a couple of overs were lost in the day's play. South Africa however would not mind finishing day 4 on such a bright note leaving them 8 wickets to claim on day 5 with India nowhere looking to chase down the big score. The umpires are having a chat and that's it for the day. They have asked the players to leave the field.
