Virat Kohli has been nominated for the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year 2025 award, adding another big achievement to his career. The veteran, who retired from Tests earlier this year, has been in red-hot form and has slammed four fifty-plus scores in the last four ODIs that he featured in. Kohli is the only Indian to be nominated for the prestigious award.

Virat has scored 651 runs in 13 ODI's at an average of 65.10. He has scored three centuries and four fifties in this year, with a highest score of 135 which came in the IND vs SA 1st ODI in Ranchi on November 30. He has scored 53 centuries and 76 half-centuries in ODIs, with a total of 14,557 runs.
Virat Kohli will next play for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in September. He last played this domestic tournament more than 10 years ago. Playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy will help him prepare for the India vs New Zealand series starting from January 11.
According to the reports, the cricketers who have been nominated for the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year Award are Kohli, Matthew Breetzke, Joe Root, Shai Hope, Daryl Mitchell, Matt Henry, Adil Rashid, Sikandar Raza, Mitchell Santner, Jayden Seales. Former India captain Rohit Sharma did not get selected, even though he has been in good form in 2025.
