Has Brian Bennett joined Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 11?
There have been reports of Zimbabwe’s young batter Brian Bennett joining Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Peshawar Zalmi for the upcoming season. Bennett, who has never played in a franchise league previously, earlier went unsold in the PSL auction, where he registered for PKR 6 million.
Zalmi’s owner, Javed Afridi, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the Zimbabwean player has been added to the squad.

However, it remains uncertain which player he has replaced, as the franchise had already exhausted its limit of seven players by roping in Nahid Rana, Shoriful Islam, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Michael Bracewell, Aaron Hardie and James Vince.
Who has Bennett replaced?
Of these picks, the Bangladesh trio has already arrived for the PSL, which means any of Bracewell, Hardie or Vince has withdrawn from the tournament.
Bennett’s recent form
Bennett has incredible numbers in T20Is, averaging 36 with a strike rate of 143. Especially during the T20 World Cup, he was brilliant for his side, though a tad slower than his usual game. He scored 97* against India in what seemed to be a one-man effort from Zimbabwe. His unbeaten 64 against Australia during the tournament helped his side take Australia down.
Peshawar Zalmi’s PSL 11 squad
Babar Azam (c), Sufiyan Muqeem, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Abdul Samad, Ali Raza, Aaron Hardie, Aamir Jamal, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Haris, Khalid Usman, Abdul Subhan, James Vince, Michael Bracewell, Kusal Mendis, Iftikhar Ahmed, Nahid Rana, Mirza Tahir Baig, Kashif Ali, Shahnawaz Dahani, Farhan Yousuf and Shoriful Islam.
