A WPL 2026 press release said that Kamalini has been ruled out for the remainder of the season because of an injury. No details about the nature of her injury was provided though. The release stated that Mumbai Indians Women have picked Vaishnavi Sharma as her replacement.
“Vaishnavi Sharma will join MI for INR 30 Lakh. The left-arm spinner, who was a member of india’s triumphant ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup squad of 2025, has played 5 T20Is for India, scalping 5 wickets from the same,” the release stated.
Kamalini scored 75 runs in 5 matches, with her highest score being 32. Meanwhile, Vaishnavi, who made her T20I debut in 2025, will add extra strength to Harmanpreet Kaur’s bowling attack.
