From Sachin to Kohli: Top 10 Cricketers With Most International Centuries (2025)

From Sachin to Kohli: Top 10 Cricketers With Most International Centuries (2025)

[ Poll: nLedRdy3 ]

Scoring a century in international cricket is a proud moment for any batsman. It takes concentration, solid technique, and the courage to perform under pressure. While many players have managed to reach this milestone, only a handful have done it across all three formats of the game.

Here’s a look at the top 10 cricketers with the most centuries in international cricket, counting their runs from Tests, ODIs, and T20Is.

1. Sachin Tendulkar- 100 Centuries (India)

Any discussion about great batsmen must include Sachin Tendulkar. He played for India from 1989 to 2013 and is the only player to score 100 international centuries – 51 in Tests and 49 in ODIs.

In 664 matches, he scored 34,357 runs, with his highest score being 248 not out. Beyond the numbers, it was his consistency and calmness that made him so beloved.

2. Virat Kohli- 82* Centuries (India)

After Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli is the next big name in cricket. Since 2008, he has scored 82 centuries in all formats and is still going strong.

He has made over 27,000 runs in 550 matches, with an average above 52 and a highest score of 254 not out. Kohli is especially good at chasing targets in ODIs. His fitness and determination make him a real threat to Tendulkar’s records.

3. Ricky Ponting - 71 Centuries (Australia)

Ricky Ponting from Australia was a true match-winner. He played from 1995 to 2012, scoring 27,483 runs in 560 matches with 71 centuries at an average of 45.95.

He was an aggressive batsman and a strong leader, often performing well in important games and helping Australia stay on top of world cricket.

4. Kumar Sangakkara- 63 Centuries (Sri Lanka)

Kumar Sangakkara was Sri Lanka’s top batsman from 2000 to 2015. He was stylish, dependable, and mentally strong. He scored 63 international centuries and over 28,000 runs in 594 matches, with a highest score of 319.

He played well in both Tests and ODIs, using solid technique but also scoring quickly when needed.

5. Jacques Kallis- 62 Centuries (South Africa)

Jacques Kallis was a true all-rounder and was a mainstay for South Africa for almost 20 years. With 62 centuries and over 25,000 runs he was as good as the best batsmen and also contributed with his bowling.

His average of 49.10 in 519 matches shows how consistent he was whether South Africa needed to save a game or build a strong base.
