IPL 2022

IPL 2022, the 15th season, took place from March 26 to May 29, 2022. The tournament expanded to 10 teams with the addition of Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. All league matches were held in Mumbai and Pune due to COVID-19 protocols. In a fairytale debut, Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals in the final to claim their maiden title. Jos Buttler (RR) was named Most Valuable Player and won the Orange Cap for his 863 runs, while Yuzvendra Chahal (RR) took the Purple Cap with 27 wickets.
