Kwena Maphaka

Kwena Maphaka is a highly-rated young South African left-arm fast bowler. He first gained global attention as the Player of the Tournament in the 2024 U-19 World Cup, taking 21 wickets. This earned him an early IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in 2024 at age 17. After being released, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals in 2025 for INR 1.5 crore.

By then, Maphaka had already made his senior international debut across all formats for South Africa. A significant milestone was becoming the youngest player to make his Test debut for South Africa in January 2025 at age 18. He also gained experience in franchise leagues like the SA20.

Returning to the IPL in 2026 with more maturity and international experience, including a T20 World Cup appearance, Maphaka is viewed as a potential key player for Rajasthan Royals.
