Amila Aponso is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who primarily plays as a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He has represented the Sri Lankan national team in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). He Moved to the United States in June 2021 to play in the Minor League Cricket tournament and later won the Major League Cricket Championship in 2024 with the San Francisco Unicorns. He currently plays for Washington Freedom in Major League Cricket (MLC).
