Virat Kohli Unveils a New Lotus Tattoo Design Ahead of IPL 2026
Before the IPL 2026 season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru star player Virat Kohli has got a new full-sleeve tattoo on his left arm. The tattoo artist, Aliens Tattoo, has designed the tattoo, which is currently trending on social media all over the World. They mentioned in their post that the tattoo is not yet complete. Kohli is taking time out of his busy schedule to get it done step by step.
Virat Kohli will be playing his first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Before this, the tattoo artist mentioned the details of the tattoo. According to the tattoo artist, the tattoo depicts the life journey of Virat Kohli. It is not a single tattoo design. The tattoo connects the past, present, and growth as a person.
The tattoo artist also worked on the old tattoos. The old tattoos were fading, including the tattoo designed in the style of Lord Shiva, which was on the armband. They corrected the old tattoos and designed new ones to make it a full-sleeve tattoo. Some were improved, some were covered, and some were added so everything is smooth and connects well.
The design starts at the elbow with a mandala that helps tie the tattoo together. Different elements were incorporated throughout the tattoo, with the front portion smooth and realistic; whereas, the back portion has a flower that was created using dots.
On the shoulder of this tattoo, there are 2 flowers, a peony and a lotus. The lotus has great significance. According to the tattoo artist, the lotus flower can grow in filthy water, but it still stays clean and untouched, thus representing peace, strength, and focus. This perfectly describes what Kohli has experienced throughout his life. The rest of the tattoo’s meaning is only meaningful to Kohli specifically.
