Vaibhav Suryavanshi Smashes 15-Ball Fifty vs CSK – 3rd Fastest in IPL History
There is no stopping Vaibhav Suryavanshi right now. The young player, who impressed everyone in his debut season last year, is continuing his great form. He scored a half-century in just 15 balls in Rajasthan Royals’ opening match against Chennai Super Kings, which is the third-fastest fifty in Indian Premier League history.
CSK, who were put into bat first in Guwahati, managed to score just 127 runs before they were bundled out. However, Suryavanshi was in a hurry to wrap up things real quick and he did just that. Suryavanshi took just 15 deliveies to breach the fifty-run mark in RR’s IPL 2026 opening game against CSK on March 30.
He smashed four fours and five sixes at an incredible strike rate of 305.88, destroying the Chennai Super Kings bowling attack.
The 15-year-old’s fifty on Monday was the third fastest in Indian Premier League history, and the second fastest for Rajasthan Royals, after Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 13-ball half-century against KKR in 2023.
