Rashid Khan Joins Elite T20 Club, Equals Dwayne Bravo's T20 Wicket Record

The Afghanistan star spinner Rashid Khan has matched Dwayne Bravo's most wickets in T20 cricket. The star bowler achieved this historic milestone on January 31, while playing for MI Cape Town in an SA20 match against Pretoria Capitals at SuperSport Park in Centurion.

During the 27th T20 match in the SA20 League, Rashid Khan took his first wicket in the 11th over by dismissing the captain of Pretoria Capitals Kyle Verreynne. Then, in the 15th over he dismissed Marques Ackerman to equal Bravo's T20 wicket record.

The star West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo retired last year from T20 cricket. Bravo is the highest wicket-taker in the T20 format. In his excellent 18-year T20 career he finished with 631 wickets in 582 matches. The Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan has now reached 631 wickets in just 460 matches with his amazing bowling skills in the T20 format.

Rashid Khan made his T20 debut on October 26, 2015, against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo. In his debut match, Rashid managed to take only one wicket. Over the past decade, Rashid Khan has played in multiple T20 leagues worldwide. Rashid has represented teams like Adelaide Strikers in BBL, Lahore Qalandars in PSL, MI Cape Town in SA20, MI New York in MLC, Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL, and many others.

Most Wickets in T20 Internationals

In the T20 international, Rashid is the second-highest wicket-taker with 161 wickets. In the IPL, he has taken 149 wickets in just 121 matches. He also has 98 wickets in 69 BBL matches and 18 wickets in 19 SA20 matches for MI Cape Town. In PSL he has 44 wickets in just 28 matches.
