IPL 2026 Schedule Update: CSK vs GT Matches Shifted Between Chennai and Ahmedabad

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has made a small change to the Indian Premier League 2026 schedule. The matches between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans will now be played at swapped venues.
The five-time champions are scheduled to lock horns with Shubman Gill and co. first on April 26 and then on May 31.
As per a press release, Gujarat Titans were set to host Chennai Super Kings in an afternoon match on April 26 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, it has now been moved to the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
“The change has been necessitated in view of the municipal corporation elections in Ahmedabad and other parts of Gujarat scheduled on April 26, 2026,” the release stated.
The Chennai Super Kings vs Gujarat Titans match, which was earlier planned in Chennai on May 21, will now be played in Ahmedabad. The game will be an evening match, starting at 7:30 PM IST.
