IND vs ENG 2nd T20I Highlights: Tilak Varma's Unbeaten 72 Helps India Secure a Thrilling Win Against England

india won the 2nd T20I against England in a thrilling encounterThe exciting match between India won the toss and opted to bowl against England. In the first innings, the Indian highest wicket-taker Arshdeep Singh again dismissed Phil Salt in the first over before India's five-man spin attack completely dominated England's batting lineup. Only the amazing English batter Jos Buttler could deal with the heat, and the England skipper went Overwhelmed for the second time in a row against India by scoring 45 runs in just 30 balls. He got a little support from Brook and Livingstone, while Jamie Smith, on his T20I debut played well by scoring 22 in 12 balls before he was dismissed by the Indian opener Abhishek Sharma.

Brydon Carse came into the XI in place of Gus Atkinson and played an excellent cameo by smashing 31 in just 17 balls with one four and 3 sixes, and was run out in an unfortunate way as India kept picking up wickets. England didn't get a big partnership, their highest partnership run of 33 came between England's captain J Buttler and Vice-captain H Brook. But still, the lower order of batting with Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, and Mark Wood, scored useful runs and helped the Buttler-led side to a competitive 165 runs with the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.

The Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav used seven bowlers with five spinning options. Apart from Ravi Bishnoi, everyone who bowled picked up at least one wicket. Axar Patel and Varun Chakaravarthy got two wickets each in their 4-over spell.

Axar Patel said that it would be an easy chase for India during the innings break, but it wasn't an easy run chase by any means. England used the extra pace and into-the-pitch stuff to trouble India and England got 2 early wickets of Indian team openers in the power play. Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav rebuilt for some time, with the former being the aggressor.

The star of tonight for England Brydon Carse continued his dream night of his first game with a three-wicket haul by taking the wickets of Indian captain SKY for 12, Dhruv Jurel scored only 4 runs, and Washington Sundar played a crucial knock of 26 runs, who was on a roll at one stage after Adil Rashid dropped an easy catch at mid-on. India lost wickets at regular intervals at one end and was losing the plot with a few batters perishing playing loose shots.

According to the situation, Varma kept finding some gaps to get boundaries and batted extremely well. Tilak Verma scored his 3rd T20I fifty and showed the world why he loves batting at the number 3 position for India. He hit 72 runs in just 55 balls with the help of 4 fours and 5 sixes and wrapped up the chase with a boundary of the second ball in the final over.

India recovered well after being at 78/5 at the drinks time of the second innings, the partnership between Varma and Sundar changed the momentum of the game towards India, but once Carse castled the latter, England crawled their way back into the contest. Arshdeep and Bishnoi hit a few much-needed boundaries for India, releasing the pressure on Varma, who kept his cool and showed immense maturity to seal the win for India, who took a 2-0 lead with 3 games left in the series.

Tilak Varma won the Player of the Match: "First of all, the wicket was slightly two-paced and wickets were falling one after the other so actually I was talking with Gautam Sir yesterday and he said that whatever happens, played according to the situation. What the team needs do that. If you want 10 runs in an over, take the charge. Bat sensibly is what he said.
