
Delhi Capitals Women announced their retained players and released players on November 5, just before the WPL 2026 mega auction on November 27 held in New Delhi. DC, which finished runners-up in wpl 2025, has decided to keep five important players for the next wpl 2026 season.
India's star players Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma, along with one of the South African best all-rounders,r Marizanne Kapp, have all been retained for INR 2.2 crore each. Annabel Sutherland will stay with the team for INR 1 crore, and young Indian batter Niki Prasad has been kept for INR 50 lakh as the uncapped Indian player.
One of the biggest surprises was the release of Meg Lanning, the former Australian captain who led Delhi to three straight finals and scored 952 runs in 27 matches. Fans will be eager to see if the team brings her back during the WPL 2026 mega auction.
