Delhi Capitals WPL 2026: Full Team List, Predicted XI & In-Depth SWOT Analysis

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 mega auction took place on November 27 in New Delhi. A total of 67 players were bought by the five teams. Delhi Capitals went into the auction with five players already kept from the last season. Their main picks this time were South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt, West Indies all-rounder Chinelle Henry, and India’s Sneh Rana.

The team has not yet announced its captain. But co-owner Parth Jindal said on Thursday that they will choose an Indian player as the captain for the new season. DC added Laura Wolvaardt, Chinelle Henry, Charani, and Sneh Rana to a strong batting lineup that already includes Shafali, Jemimah, Marizanne Kapp, and Annabel Sutherland. The only problem for them is that their Indian fast-bowling group is not very strong.

Strengths for the Delhi Capitals include a strong batting lineup with Shafali, Jemimah, Wolvaardt, Kapp, and good all-rounders. Weaknesses for their Indian fast bowlers are few and not very strong. Opportunities for Young Indian players can step up and make a name this season. The threat is that if key overseas players get injured, the team balance can break.
