IPL 2026 Auction: PBKS’s Most Expensive Player Season-wise (2008–2025)

The Punjab Kings (PBKS) entered the IPL 2025 auction with the biggest purse and have completed their full quota of 25 players from the mega auction. After Arshdeep Singh was bought back for Rs 18 crore, The Punjab Kings continued their spending spree with the acquisition of Shreyas Iyer for Rs 26.75 crore, who became the second most expensive player in IPL history.
Yuzvendra Chahal became the third acquisition for the PBKS side as the India spinner was sold for Rs 18 crore. Glenn Maxwell has also returned to PBKS as he was roped in for Rs 4.2 crore.
Under new coach Ricky Ponting, Punjab Kings (PBKS) made big headlines at the IPL 2025 mega auction by spending ₹62.7 crore on just three players, Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, and Yuzvendra Chahal.
