IND vs WI 2nd Test Day 2: Shubman Gill Shines with Century, West Indies 140/4, Behind by 378 Runs

The second day of the second Test of the series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi was also in the name of India. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal returned unbeaten on the score of 173 on the first day and added only 2 runs on the second day. Jaiswal is run out. After him, Nitish Reddy, who came to the crease to bat, scored 43 runs, while wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel played an innings of 44 runs. India started the second day with a score of 318 for 2 wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal could only add 2 runs to the first day's score of 173. He missed the opportunity to complete the double century and was run out on 175. Shubman Gill scored his tenth Test century. He remained unbeaten on 129 runs. Gill hit 2 sixes and 16 fours in a 196-ball innings.
Gill shared 74 runs with Jaiswal for the third wicket, 91 runs with Reddy for the fourth wicket and 102 runs with Jurel for the fifth wicket. Gill announced the end of the innings as Jurel's wicket fell. India declared the innings after scoring 518 runs for 5 wickets. Joel Warrican took 3 wickets and Roston Chase took 1 wicket for West Indies.
