Abhishek, Chakravarthy Rise in ICC T20I Rankings After Impressive Performances Against England
The star Indian opener Abhishek Sharma made a huge jump in the ICC T20I rankings, moving up 38 places to claim the second spot in the ICC T20I rankings. In the recent T20I series between India and England, Abhishek Sharma scored a stunning 135-run knock in just 54 balls in the fifth T20I match against England in Mumbai.
With his explosive batting, he reached 829 rating points in the T20I rankings and Abhishek overtook his teammate Tilak Varma for the second place in the rankings. Abhishek started the series on a strong note by scoring 79 runs in just 34 balls to help India chase down 133 in Kolkata.
In the next three matches, he scored only 29 runs but in the final match his record-breaking 135-run knock, which includes seven fours and 13 sixes set the stage for India's massive 150-run win against England in Mumbai. The Australian star batter Travis Head remains at the top position in the T20I batting rankings, while the England opener Phil Salt and the Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav were in the top five.

The Indian mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy moved up three places to become joint-second in the T20I bowling rankings. In the five-match T20I series, Varun finished as the highest wicket-taker with 14 wickets at an amazing average of just 9.85.
With his excellent bowling skills and recent performances, Varun earned a spot in India's ODI squad against England. Varun now shares the second position with England star spinner Adil Rashid in the T20I bowling rankings. The West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein is leading the T20I bowling rankings.
