Rishabh Pant Breaks Into Top 10 in ICC Test Rankings

India's wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and New Zealand's veteran Daryl Mitchell have made significant gains in the latest ICC Test rankings following their strong performances in the third Test in Mumbai. Pant has climbed five spots to secure the sixth position in the Test Batter Rankings after impressive half-centuries, edging closer to his career-best ranking of fifth. Mitchell, on the other hand, has jumped eight places to seventh overall after scoring 82 in the first innings in Mumbai, joining his compatriot Kane Williamson in the top ranks.

Meanwhile, England's Joe Root continues to lead the Test batter chart, with Williamson, Harry Brook, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Steve Smith following closely. Shubman Gill of India has also moved up four spots to 16th after his impressive 90-run innings against New Zealand.

In the bowling department, India's Ravindra Jadeja has risen to sixth place after a remarkable 10-wicket haul, while Washington Sundar has advanced to 46th among Test bowlers. New Zealand's Ajaz Patel has climbed 12 places to 22nd in the rankings.

Player of the Series Will Young has seen a significant jump of 29 places to reach 44th overall, reflecting his instrumental role in New Zealand's success.
