‘You Need a Trophy’: Kuldeep Yadav’s Witty Reply to RCB Fan Goes Viral

The star Indian left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who was the T20I World Cup 2024 winner has set social media on fire with his homurous reply to an RCB fan on a YouTube live podcast. The RCB has long been teased for not winning the IPL trophy since the IPL tournament began.
Kuldeep, who plays for the Delhi Capitals(DC) has recently appeared on a YouTube livestream. During the Live session, Kuldeep spoke about his love for football games and his support for the FC Barcelona team. An RCB fan humorously commented that Kuldeep should join RCB as a goalkeeper for RCB team.
In that live stream, An RCB fan, using the name "RCB management", posted a comment in the super chat box, saying "Kuldeep bhai, RCB me aa jao, ek goalkeeper ki jarurat hai. (Kuldeep bro, please join RCB; we need a goalkeeper).”
After seeing that comment posted by an RCB fan, Kuldeep without taking any pause, Kuldeep hit back with a witty response that left fans laughing and went viral on the internet. Kuldeep pointed out that RCB's struggle to win an IPL trophy.
“Tumhe goalkeeper ki nahi, trophy ki jarurat hai mere bhai. Goalkeeper kya karoge? (You don’t need a goalkeeper; you need a trophy. What will you do with a goalkeeper?).”- Kuldeep replied instantly.

In the 2016 IPL season, RCB reached the final under the leadership of Virat Kohli but lost to Sunriseers Hyderabad in the final. In recent seasons RCB qualifies for the playoffs but still chasing for the first IPL title.
RCB's Captaincy for IPL 2025
For the IPL 2025 season, the RCB management hasn't made any official announcement regarding their captain. According to some reports suggest that Virat Kohli may take the captain role again. Virat will come to action in the Ranji Trophy to represent the Delhi team. And also he is in the Indian squad for the upcoming ODI series against England.
The 30-year-old star spinner Kuldeep also is part of India's squad for the three-match ODI series against England and the ICC Champions Trophy. The first ODI will kick off on February 6.
