Yash Dayal Bail Rejected in Minor Rape Case, POCSO Court Cites Strong Evidence

Yash Dayal’s request for bail has been rejected in a case where he is accused of raping a minor. In July, a 19-year-old woman accused the Uttar Pradesh fast bowler of exploiting her for about two and a half years. The alleged victim was 17 when she met Dayal, who had promised to help her cricket career.
Dayal was accused of emotionally blackmailing and raping her at various hotels in Jaipur and Kanpur. Images, videos, conversations, and call records were retrieved from the alleged victim’s mobile phone and used as key evidence. A case was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Sanganer Sadar police station in Jaipur in the aftermath.
Yash Dayal Denied Bail in Minor Rape Case, Career on Hold
Dayal has not played any cricket since winning the IPL 2025 with RCB in June. He did not take part in the 2025 UPT20. Even though RCB has kept him for IPL 2026, he is unlikely to play.
As per the NDTV, Judge Alka Bansal of Jaipur Metropolitan Court (POCSO Court-3) has denied Dayal bail. The report submitted by the police doesn’t suggest that the left-arm bowler was falsely implicated. The ongoing investigation indicates that he might be guilty of wrongdoing. Therefore, he can’t be granted bail. Dayal’s lawyer, Kunal Jaiman, has denied claims of the cricketer meeting the alleged victim in private places like hotels. He further added that the girl presented herself as an adult and took money from Dayal.
