WPL 2026 Points Table Update: Delhi Capitals Crush RCB to Move Up WPL 2026 Points Table

Delhi Capitals put in a calm and confident performance to hand RCB their first loss of the season. With this win, Jemimah Rodrigues and her team moved up to second place on the points table. RCB had won five matches in a row before taking a four-day break, and that momentum seemed to fade. When DC last played, they were at the bottom of the table, but this time they completely dominated the game.

It was a one-sided match, with the three-time runners-up Delhi Capitals in full control from start to finish. It is hard to point out a moment in the match where it felt that Mandhana's team was ahead. Their start seemed rusty. Grace Harris did strike a couple of boundaries but was hardly as fluent as we are used to seeing. The skipper herself took a while before she got going and then holed out to deep square leg while attempting an ambitious shot. Since then, the innings moved along like an old, broken-down car, stuttering at every mile of the way.

Delhi Capitals dominate RCB to register a one-sided win and move to second spot

One poor shot after the other followed, Voll missed one while heaving across the line, Naik got bowled on what she had converted into a full toss, Radha edged one to the keeper. Though, credit must also go the Capitals bowlers who bowled probing lines and lengths throughout. Rodrigues rotated them around nicely and the fielders backed them up.

Kapp was miserly as ever. Henry and Charani played their parts. But with her delectable "back of the hand" slower balls, Nandani Sharma was the star. She, now, also wears the Purple Cap proudly on her head. 109, RCB's lowest score in the WPL ever, was always going to be tough to defend. However, the flames of hope were ignited when Sayali Satghare dismissed both the openers cheaply. Only if she had also held onto the catch of Rodrigues when it came to her and the story might have been different.

While the DC captain rode her luck. she was also dropped by Naik later, Laura Wolvaardt exhibited calmness from the other end. Her assured, smooth knock of 42* (38) ensured that the team crossed the finish line without any major hiccups.
