The series is short, as it is an event organized considering a big auction which was conducted at New Delhi, where all the teams reshaped their squad with new strategies. The squads formed include experienced international stars as well as new budding talents from the Indian Cricket Squad, meaning there will also be stiff competition in the series.
Captains are going to play an important role in the upcoming season too. Leaders such as Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Meg Lanning, Jemimah Rodrigues, and others will lead their teams, and fans will rely on them for right decisions at critical moments.

This is a massive opportunity for many Indian players who will take part in WPL 2026, as they will get to gauge their abilities, under pressure conditions, to make it to the national squad.
