WPL 2025 Schedule: RCB vs Gujarat in Opener on Feb 14, Final in Mumbai on Mar 15

On Thursday, January 16, the BCCI announced exciting news for cricket fans, as they had just announced the schedule for the third edition of the Women's Premier League. The WPL 2025 is going to kick off on February 14 at Vadodara, between the two strong teams Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Gujarat Giants.

All the matches of WPL 2025 were scheduled in four different cities Vadodara, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai. They will play 22 games for the third edition of the WPL tournament. In Mumbai, the Cricket Club of India will host the two important games Eliminator and the Finals.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru won their first title last year, in 2024. Smriti Mandhana is their captain, and they beat the Delhi Capitals to win the title. The Delhi Capital's captain is Meg Lanning. The Delhi Capitals have reached the WPL finals two times but they remain runner-up both times. This year in 2025, on February 15th, Delhi Capitals going to play a game against the tough Mumbai Indians team in Vadodara.

Alyssa Healy’s UP Warriorz will aim for their first WPL title this season. Their opening game is against Gujarat Giants in Vadodara on February 16, followed by their first home game against Delhi Capitals on February 19.

The WPL media team announced, “The tournament will start on February 14 at the newly built BCA Stadium in Vadodara, with Gujarat Giants taking on defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru in an exciting opening match.” The statement also mentioned, “Vadodara will host six matches before the action moves to Bengaluru, where RCB will play their first home match against the strong Mumbai Indians at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on February 21.”

In BCA Stadium in Vadodara, the first six games of this season will take place, the Chinnaswamy Stadium will host a total of eight games in Bengaluru, Lucknow will host four matches and Mumbai will host the two league-stage matches, and the two knockout games of the WPL 2025.
