Will MS Dhoni Enter Politics? Rajeev Shukla Reveals Insights on His Future Beyond Cricket
The most successful former Indian captain and wicketkeeper batter Mahendra Singh Dhoni led India to two World Cup wins and retired from international cricket in 2019. Despite this, Dhoni is a popular cricketer in India and around the World. His name is still more popular than other cricket stars like the star Indian batter Virat Kohli, the Indian opener Rohit Sharma, the Australian batter Steve Smith, the England star batter Joe Root, and the New Zealand batter Kane Williamson.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the only captain to win three major limited-overs ICC tournaments. Under Dhoni's leadership, the Indian team won the T20 World Cup in 2007, the ODI World Cup in 2011, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.
Surprisingly, Dhoni has stayed away from politics, even though there were rumors in the past about entering politics. Whether it is because of his ongoing IPL career with the most successful franchise Chennai Super Kings. Many former players and teammates have said that Dhoni doesn't even have a personal mobile phone. If someone wants to reach him, they need to contact his agent first, as reported by Hindustan Times.

Recently, Rajeev Shukla shared his thoughts on Dhoni’s potential in politics. While speaking to BeerBiceps on YouTube, Shukla mentioned that Dhoni could make a great politician. “I believe Dhoni can become a politician,” Shukla said, adding that "Dhoni’s popularity would make him an easy winner if he ever decided to enter politics." However, Shukla also said it's entirely up to Dhoni whether or not he chooses that path.
Question: Out of the world of bollywood & cricket, which celebrity would make a great politician?

The vice president of the BCCI Rajeev Shukla recalled an interesting conversation he had with the former Indian captain Dhoni. He once asked him if he was planning to participate in a Lok Sabha seat, then Dhoni replied, "No, no, no."
Shukla went on to explain Dhoni's personality, saying that he’s someone who values his privacy. “He likes to stay hidden and doesn’t even carry a mobile phone,” Shukla said.
“It was difficult for the BCCI selectors to get in touch with him because of that.” He further explained that Dhoni isn’t trying to escape fame, but prefers to live his life on his own terms, with a serious approach to everything he does.
Dhoni was playing the IPL 2025 for Chennai Super Kings as an uncapped player. He has not yet announced his retirement from IPL, so any thoughts of him entering politics are something that may be far in the future.
