PSL 2026: UAE call back players from Karachi Kings to participate in domestic cricket
Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has called back their players from Karachi Kings to participate in the domestic D50 tournament. Former captain Mohammad Waseem and Khuzaima bin Tanveer are two players from the country who were both bought at the auction.
Break in Karachi’s Schedule
While Khuzaima has yet to play a Pakistan Super League (PSL) game, Waseem has been a starter in all three of the Kings’ games, scoring 61 runs at a strike rate of 119.
Karachi, who last played on April 2, do not have any scheduled games until April 9, when they will play Zalmi at home. Karachi’s team director, Haider Azhar, said the pair will feature in a few games of the competition and rejoin the squad on April 7.
Earlier, there were reports that the side’s captain, David Warner, would also return home for a family matter during this hiatus in the schedule. However, the Karachi management did not officially comment on this matter. Either way, like the UAE players, Warner is also expected to return to the squad before their next game.
Karachi stay unbeaten
Currently, Karachi Kings are unbeaten in the tournament, with three wins in as many games. They stayed at the top of the table for days before Multan Sultans dethroned them with a superior Net Run Rate (NRR).
