PAK vs AFG T20I: Where to Watch Pakistan vs Afghanistan Tri-Series, H2H Stats and Full Details

Afghanistan will look to start on a strong note when they take on Pakistan in the opening game of the T20I tri-series on August 29 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The series, which also includes the UAE, will act as good preparation for the Asia Cup 2025 starting next month.
This will be Afghanistan’s first T20I outing of the year, as their last series in the format was against Zimbabwe in December 2024. Pakistan, on the other hand, come into the tournament with some momentum after a 2-1 series win over the West Indies. However, they will be without key players like Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
Afghanistan have picked almost the same squad for the tri-series as for the Asia Cup, with 16 out of the 17 players included. Fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq is the only one missing. Youngster Abdollah Ahmadzai is expected to take his place in the playing XI, while mystery spinner AM Ghazanfar could make his T20I debut in the UAE. This will also be Afghanistan’s first white-ball match since the ICC Champions Trophy in March 2025.
